Trademark Renewal

Any distinctive term used to describe a good or service that sets it apart from competitors is considered a trademark. This statement might be a phrase, catchphrase, image, logo, graphic, mix of colours, sound, or even scent.

A trademark that is registered is valid for ten years. It then need rejuvenation. If you neglect to renew it, don't worry—you'll get a notification at your registered office beforehand about when to renew your trademark. Businesses typically neglect to renew their trademarks. So, six months before to expiry, the Registrar notifies them of the same.

However, the Registrar releases a notification stating that your trademark will be withdrawn from the Trade Marks Journal if you do not take any action. It takes at least six to twelve months after expiry and is a fairly drawn-out procedure. Therefore, you can renew it prior to that by just paying the department the fine.
